Wake and Funeral Services: 

Funeral services were held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 8:15, and from there to St. Margaret Mary's Church, Homestead St., Albany at 9:00. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.

DiMura, Anthony J. Sr. ALBANY Anthony J. DiMura Sr., 83, of Albany, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mr. DiMura was born in Albany and lived here all his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed for many years as a mason. He was a member of Local 2 of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for over 50 years, and was a communicant of St. Margaret Mary's Church in Albany. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed telling an occasional story. In recent years he enjoyed retirement and the company of his friends. Mr. DiMura is survived by his beloved wife Venera "Nettie" DiMura; his children, Joseph S. DiMura (Stacy) of Albany, Rita DiMura-Smarro (David) of Guilderland, and Anthony J. DiMura Jr. (Maria) of Guilderland; his brothers, Joseph, Charlie and John DiMura; his sister, Nettie Gach; his grandchildren, Sydney, Gabrielle, Isabella, Anthony, and Livio; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Frank DiMura, Mary Fox, Fortune and Sam DiMura, and Phyllis Lounello.
