A funeral service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home, the Rev. Robert De Martinis officiating. Burial will follow in St. Cyril Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Luigi was the son of the late Enrico and Maria Catarrussa Petrucco. He emigrated to this country from Fanna, Italy in 1948. A tile setter by profession, Luigi worked for various local tile companies and was also self-employed as proprietor of Louis Petrucco Tile. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Local #2 of Albany, since 1951. He was a master craftsman. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Elizabeth Petrucco; beloved father of Henry "Rico" (Dotty) Petrucco of Saratoga, Anna Maria Petrucco of Rotterdam and John Petrucco of Guilderland and the late Louisa Petrucco Garofallou; loving grandfather of Mario (Rhianon) Petrucco and Nicholas Petrucco; both of Schenectady, Enrico Petrucco of England and Derek Garofallou of Calif.; brother of the late Romano Petrucco. Luigi is also survived by four great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, step- great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. »
